The lure of the vampire is that he is sexy, urbane, handsome, sophisticated. He is there to seduce you and make you forget everything to be with him. Some of my favorite vampire series are Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, Kim Newman's Anno Dracula series, and Jeanne Kalogridis' series Diaries of the Family Dracul. The sexiest Dracula in the movies was Frank Langella.Shehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11376023103870884939noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690101402348566256.post-22695051366861122102011-01-23T17:15:39.496-07:002011-01-23T17:15:39.496-07:00Hi! Then when I got into the romances of them, just love them. And all the different paranormals (shapeshifters, werewolves, succubus, demons and more!) I love them at all sizzling levels! For me from those I read, I love the feel and intensity of finding a mate, that one special someone, that can't possibly be anyone else. And the intense extremes that they get to feel, if for the first time with that someone and fighting it because there is no other way. Plus the rules or route or I can't find a word today for it, that goes for the two of them to become one, to become who they are as vamps.
cathiecaffey @ gmail.comCaffeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11830854922444380155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690101402348566256.post-41961655709228332422011-01-23T13:00:05.987-07:002011-01-23T13:00:05.987-07:00Hi Mary!

LOL Still, from time to time, I dip back into the immortal world because, honestly, there's no escaping the seduction of all powerful, hot men.

The reason I love vampires as a writer, however, differs from why I love them as a reader. There's just so much more you can explore with a man or a woman who has lived for centuries, or simply live differently than normal humans. I've yet to write a vampire book for publication, although I do have a request for a short with a sexy vampire as a main character.

I'm sure reading your book will only inspire me to dive in! It sounds like a fun read.

All my best,
AllureAllureVanSanzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07343377905154824059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690101402348566256.post-2627926363602266822011-01-23T12:41:51.546-07:002011-01-23T12:41:51.546-07:00This book sounds great!!

I started watching the old vampire moves and started doing research on them. I really loved the good or funny vampires, like "Love at First Bite" Or Dracula Dead and Loving It". I also liked "Van Helsing, It stared Hugh Jackman. and who can forget the "Blade series of movies. Eddie Murphy also did a decient vampire movie' A Vampire in Brooklyn." I believe it was called. I'm sort of so so on the "Twilight" series "Books & Movies, IMHO,Myers vampires are too, over the top, powerful. I personally like vampires that are more human like, don't take themselves too seriously, and have some weakness. One of my all time favorite authors is Lynsay Sands. Her vampires are hot, sexy and have a sense of humor. I'm definatly going to put your book on my TB list
G W PickleAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690101402348566256.post-24068980642012855002011-01-23T08:37:46.505-07:002011-01-23T08:37:46.505-07:00I love vampires because I'm into bloodplay. Just my opinion, but the guy in Fright Night was not hot. I love the movie, but he didn't "wow" me at all. I not only write about the sexy, dangerous, ...Mary,
I not only write about the sexy, dangerous, edgy vamps, I read about them. I grew up watching the classic stories, Elvira's classic Friday night show, or on Saturday nights. And then the modern stories came into vogue. What I find interesting is how the character of a vamp has evolved over the eons of their creation from ancient times and through most cultures around the world, which leaves us such latitude in creating our own "creature" and limited to only our imaginations. I could write more, but you can only imagine how long this comment would be if I did. I love my hunky, dark, and brooding vamps!
cynmar19(AT)yahoo(DOT)comCynthia Arsuaganoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690101402348566256.post-20511213169080629772011-01-22T10:14:59.594-07:002011-01-22T10:14:59.594-07:00I love vampires because they always appear powerfu...I love vampires because they always appear powerful, alluring, passionate, sexual, intelligent, and carry a certain bravado about them that adds to their mystique. Like Mary, I too have always been captivated by vampires since I was a child. I have never seen them as really scary beasts either just different and like many of the novels out there, vampires are just another species living amongst the humans protecting themselves from evil imposed on them. Some vampires are portrayed like blood sucking fiends out to wipe out everybody in their path. Some are portrayed comically like when Bela Lugosi’s Dracula says, “Look into my eyes.” You sort of want to laugh at that but there is also this draw from the eyes of a vampire that is irresistible. Again, in many of the novels we read the lovers can emote so much and that the magnetism is there just by looking into one another’s eyes. My favorite vampires are the ones that are strong, protective, sexual, and good guys with all the flaws (and brooding) just like everyone else. But it is with these flaws they grow into even more powerful creatures when they finally meet their mate, their match the one who can balance them.Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02647536114049741005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690101402348566256.post-42614772571200050202011-01-22T09:08:39.018-07:002011-01-22T09:08:39.018-07:00I love vampires because I find them sexy, sensual ...I love vampires because I find them sexy, sensual and oozing with sex appeal. They have that bad boy persona of being deadly and dangerous but at the same time the epitome of protection. The vampires seem so loyal and devoted to the one that they love that they would do anything for their love.

That is why I love reading paranormal romance/erotica with vampires because they are so passionate and at the same time so protective and powerful.
