An interesting, and possibly tasty idea

I saw this commercial last night while, surprise, watching the hockey game and it really annoyed the heck out of me. It was a beer commercial that had a book club in it and the guys crash the party because they want the beer. I can't really tell you why the commercial bothered me so much but both my brother and husband said, "No way would Anna let that happen!" And they were right! If I was hosting an in-person book club, as opposed to this virtual book club that we have, I certainly wouldn't let a bunch of dopey guys steal all my beer, or snacks, or anything else.

Well, this got me to thinking- dangerous, I know- about what I would serve at our book club meetings if we met in person? What sort of food and drink? How would I keep the vampire theme? So I looked through some cookbooks and made a mental Vampire Book Club Cookbook. Yes, I am a total nerd:) And then I thought that maybe once a month we could all share recipes, or drink ideas, for our meetings. Michele and I have discussed this before and we both think it would be quite fun.

Would you be interested in sharing recipes (as if we all met in person for the chat days)?

Dare I ask for a Tequila Sunrise?

This is a fun idea!

Love the idea. I had a chef friend of mine cater a party recently that had a True Blood theme. I'll have to ask her for the menu she came up with.

Thanks for all the responses everyone! I think I'm going to make this a monthly addition to our chat days. Details will be posted before our March book.

Jen D.- I'd love to see the True Blood menu!
