Here's my recipe for a Bloody Pina Colada, courtesy of Martha Stewart:
- FOR THE "BLOOD"
- 3 tablespoons corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoons red food coloring
- FOR THE DRINK
- 20 ounces pineapple juice
- 1 can (15 ounces) cream of coconut
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup orange juice
- 10 ounces good-quality rum
- Pour the corn syrup in a shallow bowl. Dip a toothpick into the food coloring, and stir a very small amount into the syrup to combine. Hold a glass by the stem, dip rim into the syrup mixture, and turn glass, coating entire rim. Turn the glass upright, allowing mixture to drip down sides. Dip the remaining glasses. Set aside.
- Whisk together drink ingredients. Place 2 1/2 cups ice in a blender, and add 1 cup drink mixture. Blend until smooth; add more pineapple juice if mixture is too thick. Repeat with remaining ice and mixture. Carefully pour into prepared glasses; serve.

Didn't have a particular favorite vampire drink until I saw LadyVampire's suggestion. Would love to try the Tru Blood drink but I noticed it doesn't come in Diet, lol.
For a Blood Rimmed Martini
Credit goes to: http://www.hostessblog.com/2008/10/halloween-martini-vampire-style/
The “blood rim” is made from the same kind of mixture as you’d use to make hard candy. It’s actually pretty easy, but you will need a candy thermometer (which you can find at most grocery stores).
Ingredients:
1 c. Sugar
1/2 c. Karo Syrup
1/2 c. Water
Red Food Coloring
Directions:
Combine sugar, syrup and water. Cook without stirring to hard crack stage – which is 300 degrees F. Add food coloring.
Turn off heat. While the mixture is still hot, dunk the top of the cocktail glass into the mixture to create the red rim. If you need to do several glasses, keep the mixture hot so it lasts longer (instead of turning heat off, just reduce slightly). You can go anywhere from just along the very tip of the rim to part way down the glass – whichever you prefer. Flip the glass right side up to cool. The thick consistency of the mixture will cause “drips” as it hardens on the glass!

oh man... I do not drink. Well, I drink but nothing interesting.
So how about cherry coke with strawberries and sugar. Yummmm Sweet!

Hmmm...I'd have to go with the typical party punch (fruit punch, 7-Up, orange juice, etc). Add some extra red food dye to deepen the color!

I'm going to go with the Albino Vampire Cocktail which is a cocktail (with listed real ingredients) invented by the main character in Carole Nelson Douglas's Dancing with Werewolves. Fun series with a new drink recipe every book.
I was totally going to say the Albino Vampire drink from Dancing with Werewolves but looks like Kalayna was thinking the same thing. :D
I guess I could say that True Blood drink is pretty good.
Okay, I'm going to have to go with one of the drinks I've invented for my book "Vampire Ascending" called Old Coffin--mostly animal blood, mixed with about 38% of human . . . the remaining 2% we're not exactly sure about. Not a favorite among Tremayne's group.
I have to go with a Bloody Mary
There's one my friend's BF made up for Halloween, called Blood on the Moon. I'm not entirely sure what was in it, though I know it had vodka and raspberry something, but it would stain your lips deep red as if you just drank blood. I love that drink (its limited edition so I have to wait until Halloween again ::sigh:: )

I don't drink so I guess I would have to say strawberry juice.

Well, if I was a vamp, I think I might enjoy a WHite Russian. I'm sure they are pretty tasty, and the blood would be so fresh inside. :)
Or maybe a Bloody Mary.

I am not a cocktail drinker so I don't know very many cocktails and the only thing vaguely vampirish I can think of is the already mentioned Bloody Mary !
If tthe giveaway is open worldwide, then please enter me.
Thanks

I don't know if it is an official cocktail we have been experimenting with some friends and one of my favourite cocktails is a mixture of Bacardi white rum with raspberry syrup and cream and some friends even put some tiny bits of mint leaves and lime zest. Depending on how you stir or not the raspberry syrup it can look like blood droplets :-) Please enter me.

Thank you!
I'm loving all these drink ideas! I might have to pick 2 winners- one for an alcoholic beverage and one for a non alcoholic drink. Hmm, guess you'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out:)
Mindful Musings- I'm going to make that punch for my kids this weekend! It's a great picnic drink, or even to keep for warm weather days.
Lorelei- I haven't read your book but I will add it to my list for when I'm out shopping.
Kalayna- I also like the Carole Nelson Douglas books! Fun series!
I think I'll pick a Bloody Mary.
