Quick weekend contest

Last month we did a search for vampire themed drinks and this month we are moving on to vampire themed desserts. Why are we skipping appetizers and main course? Well, mostly because sweets are easier and I don't think the vamps are too picky about their food.

Here's what I think: Depending on the lore and myths involved, vampires might feed from live donors, right? Well, we have been lectured for decades that we are what we eat and I figure a vampire might be happier munching on somebody that has yummy, sweet blood. I mean, they could prefer spicy hot blood, but for the purposes of this contest we are opting for a sugary dessert that appeals to vampires and humans.

To make this more fun I have a copy of Her Vampire Husband to giveaway to one lucky commenter!

Contest rules:
*leave a comment with a vampire themed dessert
*if your email isn't in your profile, please leave a way for me to contact you
*contest open to US residents only ( I am so sorry that postage is expensive and I will try to have an international contest soon)
*contest open April 23-April 24 and a winner will be announced on the 25th

The first thing that comes to mind is red candied apples! Of course for all the vamps out there they can substitute that red food coloring with some fresh blood, yummy!

I think the obvious choice would be Lady Fingers!

Chocolate-covered strawberries should appeal to the human and vampire in us all.

I'm thinking a red velvet cake with red frosting would be yummy.
