Night Myst contest and giveaway
Yasmine Galenorn is heavily inspired by music and she creates playlists for each book, something I find super cool because it gives an inside peek into the mind of a writer (this playlist in particular is also awesome to listen to). Night Myst has her playlist in the back of the book and she has even posted one for the next Indigo Court novel, Night Veil, on her blog. She lists Half-Light by Low as the theme song for the series.
Thanks to the lovely folks at Berkley I have 3 copies of Night Myst to giveaway to some lucky readers and to be entered into the contest all you need to do is tell me what music inspires you?
Contest Rules:
*Contest open to US and Canada only
*must leave an email if one isn't available in your profile
*contest runs until 7/21 and the winner will be posted the following day

Classical music inspires me the most. I love to let my mind interpet the song.
I like A.R. Rahman's music.
I like to listen to groups like Nickleback and Daughtry. Although I do like a lot of different kinds of music, if I'm looking to be inspired about something, this is usually the type of music I listen to.
alternative rock and r&b is my inspirational music :). Thanks for the giveaway.

If I have to pick a genre that's inspiring, I think I'll go with country. I never liked it when I was younger, but as an adult I appreciate that it's almost always about something, in a music world of 'baby I love you', 'baby I miss you', and 'girl you're so fine'.

I love listening to the Beatles. For me, it just never gets old!
Ballads inspire me the most. But if I am exercising or cleaning (in other words need to kick ass), 80's rock works best :)

When I am trying to get my power walk to kick it up a notch or just get in some fun 'kitchen dancing' in the house or I need some help to get me to clean house in a better mood....classic rock, 80s wave, 90s this and that rock...and 00 this and that rock...

I always listen to Nickelback when writing. I don't know why, but the words just seem to flow better when I listen to them.
Pretty well any music inspires me....it really depends upon my mood. The only music I don't like is hard metal.
When I am feeling down, R & B brings me up, when I am happy, pop and 60's music brings me higher, when I am serious, classical gets my creative juices flowing, when I am in a 'funny' mood, anything with a beat will get me dancing!
When reading books such as Night Myst, easy listening music on the radio helps me get more into the book.
Thank you for hosting this giveaway.
