Contest: I'll Be Slaying You
This month we are featuring wonderfully talented Cynthia Eden's I'll Be Slaying You as our book club selection and she has generously agreed to donate 5 copies to 5 lucky readers!
Did you know that not only does she write paranormal romance, she also has a romantic suspense series- Deadly Fear (available now), Deadly Heat (2/11), Deadly Lies (3/11)? Now personally, I enjoy when an author spreads their wings and writes a variety of different books, but I know that some people stick to one genre only.
So to enter this contest just leave a comment answering the following question: Do you follow an author across genre lines?
Contest rules:
*contest open August 19- August 25
*must answer the contest question to be entered
*Leave an email if your profile does not have one listed (so that I have a way to contact you should you win)

Yes, I would follow if I liked thier style and subject matter. I have followed a few authors across genre lines like, Lynsay Sands, Christina Dodd, Katie MacAlister, Kelley Armstrong,...
I would love to read something from this author. I have heard nothing but good things.

Yes, as long as they keep me intrigued.

Absolutely! Sherrilyn Kenyon, Lynsay Sands, Kresley Cole and Kelley Armstrong are just a few that come to mind right away. I start reading an author because of the particular genre that I prefer - PRN - and if I like their writing I'll read anything else that they have written as well.

I've followed Patrice Michelle, Michele Hauf, and countless others across the lines, so long as, as others have said, they keep me entertained and otherwise interested.
I do follow a author across genre lines if I like one type of there book more then likely to like most all there kinds of books like lynsays sands she wrights historical and paranormal and I read both of her book types and all the others that she rights.

I usually follow authors across genre lines because I love their writing styles and enjoy reading various genre types. It's also a great way to start a new series/book with a higher chance of liking it.

Absolutely! Once I start reading an author and like them I want to read everything they've ever written. Well, not grocery lists, that's just creepy, but stories, you know. =)

Yes, because I read many different genres. If I find an author that I really like, I will read it, even if I don't read that genre.

I follow Lynn Kurland and others. And if I really like, I will follow, or at least I will try both genre.

That's a hard question. But I guess if I really love an author I'd follow through to other genres. off hand thouhg...I can't think of any author that I HAVE read that crossed genres. I'll have to think about it because now it's going to bug me LOL!
ksg_amg(at)yahoo.com
Yes, I do. I follow Shiloh Walker, Shayla Black, Lora Leigh and many others. I like a variety when reading.
ctownzen (@) gmail.com
Hmm, I can't say I've tried. I like to stick to the genres I know because I don't like being disappointed but if a book in a different genre really called out for me I would read it. I have read books in genres I don't usually pick up.... but not from authors I follow.
hildakullberg@gmail.com
The only time I've done it is for Sherrilyn Kenyon. I do not read YA books. They just aren't my thing but I read Infinity and LOVED it.

Yes, this book is part of a series. It's actually the second book in the Night Watch series. I haven't read it yet so I'm not sure how stand alone it is...let me poke around and see.
I will definitely follow an author to other genres. Or I'll consider it by at least looking at the book's description or reading a few pages. If it doesn't strike me as my cup of tea, then I'll check out the next book that author does judge it on its own merits.
I will follow an author to other genres unless the genre is one I don't care for. And even then if I think the author has done something within the new genre that I'll enjoy, I'll try it. When I find an author I enjoy, I try to support them in whatever they do.
I'm a GFC follower.
Barbed1951(at)aol(dot)com

If I really love an author's work than I will.
allisonsbj3(at)gmail(dot)com
YES,I would follow an author that I like. Loyalty is key
In general, yes, I follow authors across genre lines. That's how I found my first UF series. I enjoyed the Charlaine Harris mysteries so much, I followed her to the Southern Vampire series.
Yes I follow my favorite authors cross into other genres. The only time I won't follow is if it's a genre I don't really read.
