My awesome sister

I've been dealing with some rather nasty kidney stones for the last 2 weeks and let's just say that I'm down for the count~ not a lot happening here. About the only good thing to come of this whole episode is that I have the chance to catch up on all the sleep I've missed since I had my little monsters, I mean, kids. Oh, and when I'm awake I get to read.

Why am I sharing this with you? Well, I had been planning on attending the Christopher Farnsworth book signing in Phoenix to celebrate the release of The President's Vampire, book 2 in the Nathanial Cade series, but I had to change my plans. *insert sad pouty here* I am in love with these books and I recommend them to anyone that asks for a good vampire book. No words can describe how bummed I was to miss this event.

Only I didn't miss out entirely because my super cool baby sister hauled her 3 kids to The Poisoned Pen in Scottsdale and got both Blood Oath and The President's Vampire signed for me! She rocks bigtime! I told her she could read them before I picked them up on my next visit. See, I'm nice too. She sent me these pictures:

So I will say it again...my sister is awesome! I'll be posting my review for TPV over at VampChix this week. And if you haven't read these books then you are seriously missing out!!

Sorry to hear you're on the outs. Hope you start to feel better soon!
