Extrasensory Agents

I love me some paranormal romantic suspense (combines all my favorite things) but finding good books is getting harder, primarily because I think most people are immersed in the Urban Fantasy genre right now. So last year I read a book called Cold Sight by Leslie Parrish, about a paranormal detective agency that had romance, suspense and a serial killer. Cool, right. I liked it quite a bit, only I never heard anything else about it. The author blog wasn't updated or anything...bummer.

Well, then I discovered that Leslie Kelly and Leslie Parrish are one and the same, with different names in different genres. I never understand why authors do this unless the name thing is top secret, super secret code red because I follow authors from genre to genre so why make it harder on me. If the writing is good then I'll read anything. But I digress.

A couple of months ago I saw a contest for the second book, Cold Touch, on the Plot Monkeys blog, which is a fab site with multiple authors (Leslie Kelly, Janelle Denison, Julie Leto, Carly Phillips) that I visit every single day. You should go! All I had to do was help spread the word about the series, not hard to do, and I was thrilled to death when I actually won the ARC.

My review will be up in a few days but I thought I'd share info first...in case you felt like shopping:)

Cold Sight: Extrasensory Agents

After being made a scapegoat in a botched investigation that led to a child's death, Aidan McConnell became a recluse. Still, as a favor to an old friend, Aidan will help on the occasional XI case. But under his handsome, rugged facade, he keeps his emotions in check--for fear of being burned again.
Reporter Lexie Nolan has a nose for news--and she believes a serial killer has been targeting teen girls around Savannah. But no one believes her. So she turns to the new paranormal detective agency and the sexy, mysterious Aidan for help.
But just as the two begin forging a relationship, the case turns eerily personal for Lexie--and Aidan discovers that maybe he hasn't lost the ability to feel after all...

Cold Touch: Extrasensory Agents

Since being gifted--or cursed--with her ability to touch a lifeless body and relive the victim's final moments, Olivia Wainwright has died a hundred deaths. She hears the screams, tastes the fear; feels the excruciating pain--and every glimpse into this darkness draws her deeper into danger.
Now, though, she's met a man who offers a glimmer of light. Savannah Detective Gabe Cooper might look like a sexy good-old-boy, but his laid-back attitude hides a sharp mind and a protective heart. He doesn't believe in psychics--until he meets Olivia and sees firsthand how her dark gift ravages her spirit.
As their bond deepens, Olivia will have to choose between her cold gift and the warmth Gabe provides. But her past is catching up with her, and Gabe can't refuse when she needs his help solving a crime that's haunted her for over a decade...her own murder.

Happy Reading!
