Happy Monday! Hope your weekend was filled to the brim with fun and good books. Today I'm giving away one copy of Lockdown, Book 1 in the Furnace series by Alexander Gordon Smith. The Macmillan site lists this as a book for grade levels 7 and up, and it looks to be quite the dark journey that will appeal to anyone looking for a good horror, or action adventure. I'd like to read it myself!

Wow, teen fiction has become really edgy. I was particularly impressed with the quote at the end of the trailer by James Patterson "Fresh and ferocious." Sounds wonderful to me.
I just love the fact that so many awesome adult writers have written YA books. With the awesome amount of great YA books coming out, I see kids all over with the nose in a book rather than piled up in front of the TV.
