This is truly one of my all time favorite movies for both Halloween and Christmas, the season really doesn't matter to me because Tim Burton is a genius all times of the year!! The songs are brilliant (What's This? is my ringtone for email) and the animation style is amazing and unique. My office room is filled to the brim with Jack and Sally toys, snowglobes, and music boxes, and I have blankets, sheets and pillowcases too! Don't even ask how many times I have seen the movie over the last decade or so...probably more than I care to count. Seriously, who doesn't love Jack and Sally? Halloweentown?
A few favorite lines:
*Mayor: Jack, please, I'm only an elected official here, I can't make decisions by myself!
*Santa: Haven't you heard of peace on earth and goodwill toward men?
Lock, Shock, Barrel: NO!
*Jack: Sally! I need your help most of all.
Sally: You certainly do, Jack. I've had the most horrible vision!
Jack: That's splendid!
*Dr. Finkelstein: You've poisoned me for the last time, you wretched girl!
*Oogie Boogie: J-J-J-Jack! But they said you were dead. You must be - double dead!
*Jack: Eureka! This year, Christmas will be - OURS!
*Jack and Sally: And sit together, now and forever. For it is plain, as anyone can see. We're simply meant to be.
*Jack Skelington: [singing] What's this? What's this? There's color everywhere! What's this? There's white things in the air! What's this? I can't believe my eyes, I must be dreaming; wake up, Jack, this isn't fair! What's this?

Movie Quotes: Teen Wolf (1985)
Coach Finstock: There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.
Harold Howard: Listen son. You're going to be able to do a lot of things the other guys aren't.
Scott Howard: Oh yeah, like chase cars, and bite the mailman?
Scott: You saw?
Harold: Yeah, I saw, unless that was another werewolf doing a handstand on top of Stiles' wolfmobile and making a fool of himself.
Mick: You don't scare me, freak. Underneath all that hair, you're still a dork, Scott. I've handled your kind before. Your mama used to steal chickens out of the backyard until I blew her head off with a shotgun. Right, Scott?

Movie Quotes: Zombieland
Columbus: [after his neighbor changes into a zombie] You see? You just can't trust anyone. The first girl I let into my life and she tries to eat me.
Tallahassee: I'm not great at farewells, so uh... that'll do, pig.
Columbus: The first rule of Zombieland: Cardio. When the zombie outbreak first hit, the first to go, for obvious reasons... were the fatties.
Tallahassee: [Searching for Twinkies] Where are you, you spongy, yellow, delicious bastards?
Tallahassee: Hey, a little help with movin' the couch. We're makin' a fort.
This is one of the best zombie movies ever and I probably should have just put half the screenplay up for movie quotes. I didn't even get to Bill Murray! Any thoughts on his movie? Favorite characters? Best lines?

Movie Quotes: The Wolfman (2010)

This didn't seem to do well with movie-goers but I liked the gothic feel- the colors and sounds were much like the original- and the soundtrack was amazing. Benicio Del Toro and Emily Blunt made a great 'doomed' couple and the wolf transformations were spectacular. I never saw this in theaters but wish that I did. Instead, I curled up on the couch with my millions of fluffy pillows, popped some popcorn and enjoyed the DVD. I highly recommend that you do the same.

Here are just a few of my favorite lines:
Maleva- Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms, and the autumn moon is bright.
Gwen- It must be a wonderful luxury doing battle with imaginary demons, Mr. Talbot. Mine right now are very real.
Detective Aberline- Unfortunatley, "cursed" does not give me a warrant to wander around Sir John's estate at night. Rules Mrs. Kirk. They're all that keep us from a dog-eat-dog world, you know. Pint of bitter please.
Sir John Talbot- Oh, I cannot tell you how often I've considered that. But life is far too glorious, Lawrence, especially to the cursed and the damned, like myself.

Movie Quotes: Dracula 2000

Another new attraction here at the blog is the addition of movies quotes. Its looking like I will rotate the Weres on Wednesday post with the movie quotes (to stave off any chance of boredom on my end), and I will also rotate between vampires, werewolves, zombies, witches etc. If it goes bump in the night and had a movie made about it, then I'll either watch it or find quotable material for it, sometimes both.
And since we're talking about attraction then I thought I'd kick things off with the incredibly sexy Gerard Butler in Dracula 2000. It might not be the best vampire movie ever to grace the big screen but I rather enjoy Gerard in the role of Dracula- he's seductive and the accent is hawt! And besides, Wes Craven doesn't make terrible movies...just campy ones.
Some of the best lines:Dracula- We're all so much more complicated than our names.
Dracula- I don't drink... coffee.
Marcus- Sorry sport. I'm an atheist.
Simon- God loves you anyway.
Lucy- You had him every night in your dreams and you never even shared!
Dracula- Blood has always been the coin of our realm.
