Yesterday morning my very cool husband went and stood in line at to Borders to get me a line number for the Charlaine Harris book signing. I was number 2! He also bought me 2 copies of Dead in the Family, one for me and one to giveaway on the blog. Isn't he awesome? I'll be having a contest in a couple weeks to give that book away.
I've never been to a book signing before and didn't know what to expect. Wow, tons of people showed up to hear her Q&A and get books signed- the last count I heard was 400! My low line number meant that I didn't have to wait long:) She was incredibly nice and has the sweetest southern voice. I almost felt like I was listening to my mother-in-law talk. I even got my picture taken and I hate having that done. I have a video with part of her Q&A and if I can figure out how, I'll put that up too.

That's awesome! Im actually going to one of her signings on Tuesday! Im so excited, im a huge fan of hers so I cant wait.
I went to her signing when she came to New Orleans for Halloween - she was so gracious and friendly. Glad to hear you had a great time.

Wow! That's fantastic! I had my first book signing back in March, nothing as big as yours though.
OMG I was there too! I was the girl in the big boot. lol. I wish I had known you were going I would have introduced myself. Dang!
