review: Neon Graveyard by Vicki Pettersson

Review:

Joanna Archer is now a mortal. She was once a part of the Light, and she was supposed to be the savior who would control who was going to win the battle over Las Vegas. She is fighting now to save her unborn child and the man she loves, who is stuck in the grasp of a goddess. Who is she fighting? It seems as though she is fighting everyone, but the main culprit happens to be her father, the Tupla and leader of the dark forces.  Joanna has to prove herself to those around her that still possess powers that were taken when she was turned back into mortal. This proves difficult at times, but she still has some magical abilities that can control how she looks and also she is able to use magical weapons that can fight off the evil that is attacking. This book is a battle between what is considered good and evil. Can she save all those she needs to?

This was a good action filled adventure book that kept me super interested and wanting to get to the end to see if the character is able to pull off her quest. I have not read the other books in the series though, so at times I felt like I was confused by characters attachments, and the explanations of the characters in the book. I do think that I was still able to connect with the main character enough so that I was still rooting for her in the end. If you are looking for something that is a different spin on good verses evil, with an outstanding urban fantasy setting, this is a great choice for you. The characters are ultimately fighting for the things that mean that most to them and the people they love!

Looking for a guest reviewer

I have a review copy for The Neon Graveyard by Vicki Pettersson and after much debate I have decided to have a contest of sorts for anyone that might be interested in doing a guest review. Why? Well, it's pretty simple: This is a finale to a series and I think everyone would be better served having a review done by somebody that has read the entire series. Don't get me wrong, I really liked what I read so far (writing style, worldbuilding and the main character seems like someone I would enjoy) but it doesn't seem right to judge a book when I'm not familiar with what makes this series so great.

The review doesn't need to be long, just a paragraph or two with what you thought of the book, nothing fancy. I'll cover the shipping so this is only open to U.S. readers.
