Trick or Treat! The winner of Blood Eternal is...

ML, who shared this Halloween traditions with us:

Halloween is my favorite holiday so I have some traditions. I have to have a party and make a spooky looking cake (from spiders, to coffins, to oozing eyeballs). I also like to name the party food (Bone-chillin' chili, boneless bat wings, etc.). Around Halloween I always like to watch Beatlejuice, Nightmare Before Christmas and Hocus Pocus (don't ask) to get in the festive mood. I also try to dress up every year (at the very least don some devil's horns). Then it's pretty routine-hand out candy to the neighborhood kids-maybe turn on the spooky CD and smoke machine. When that's done-sit back with some candy corn and another Halloween or spooky themed movie.

Congrats! Please email me at vampchixreadbooks AT gmail DOT com with your mailing information.

Mary Abshire contest winner

And the winner of the Mary Abshire, Claiming the Evil Dead, contest is...

Caffey who said...

Hi! Love vamp romances! I didn't watch much TV (still don't) so I was lured in with them as romances (but do recall reading a couple of Anne Rice long ago). Then when I got into the romances of them, just love them. And all the different paranormals (shapeshifters, werewolves, succubus, demons and more!) I love them at all sizzling levels! For me from those I read, I love the feel and intensity of finding a mate, that one special someone, that can't possibly be anyone else. And the intense extremes that they get to feel, if for the first time with that someone and fighting it because there is no other way. Plus the rules or route or I can't find a word today for it, that goes for the two of them to become one, to become who they are as vamps.

Congrats Caffey! I will pass your email along so that you can get your ebook copy.

Winners

We had a varied response to the contest question asking about following authors across genre lines, but the consensus seems to be that most readers aren't as concerned about the genre and will follow a good author to whatever they write. I know I do! And now for the 5 lucky winners of I'll Be Slaying You by Cynthia Eden are...

Paranormal Bites said... Absolutely! Sherrilyn Kenyon, Lynsay Sands, Kresley Cole and Kelley Armstrong are just a few that come to mind right away. I start reading an author because of the particular genre that I prefer - PRN - and if I like their writing I'll read anything else that they have written as well.

Zita said... Absolutely! Once I start reading an author and like them I want to read everything they've ever written. Well, not grocery lists, that's just creepy, but stories, you know. =)

Hilda said... Hmm, I can't say I've tried. I like to stick to the genres I know because I don't like being disappointed but if a book in a different genre really called out for me I would read it. I have read books in genres I don't usually pick up.... but not from authors I follow.

Dot S. said... Sure I'll read anything my fave authors write, no matter the genre. A good read is a good read.

Jessica Rabbit said... I do. One of those I follow is Lynsay Sands and Katie McAlister.

Congrats to the winners and thanks to everyone that stopped by to enter the contest. I will try to get an email out to each of the winners but if you see this first, please email me with all your mailing information at vampchixreadbooks@gmail.com
