Saturday Shout-Out

I really wish I could put fangs on this guy and make him a little more sinister looking. He's so...jolly. Like Santa or yard gnomes. But alas, me and the computer do not always get along and I don't have those picture programs, not that it would help. So...

Since it's the weekend I thought we could play catch up on what we've been reading, what cool movies we've seen and what books sit in our TBR piles. I'll go first!

What I'm reading:

*The Sand Dragon by Michael Stewart- I got this for review and it's a sci-fi/horror combo. Neat idea but creepy too. And I also learned more about my Canadian neighbors. Only halfway done but the review for VampChix will be ready next week.

*and Falling, fly by Skyler White- Just started and should finish by Sunday. I need to take notes for discussion and that slows me down, but it started well and I'm excited to keep reading.

*Dead in the Family by C. Harris- Trying to savor this one because I know it will be awhile before the next. And I need to go slowly since I decided that this book would be our next Bite Club selection. I'll even be giving away a signed hardback copy too!

What I'm Watching:

*No good movies to report, but I have a zillion ready and waiting for the popcorn and soda. We'll probably see Iron Man 2 this weekend and I have The Serious Man and Amelia from NetFlix. Plus I bought The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus. Hopefully I can watch something while folding laundry, dusting, and doing windows.

My TBR:

*Atlantis Redeemed- Alyssa Day

*Master Of Fire- Angela Knight

*Stealing Kathryn- Jacquelyn Frank

*Silent Truth- Sherrilyn Kenyon and Dianna Love

*Rogue Angel The Bone Conjurer- Alex Archer

*Angel Slayer- Michele Hauf

*Sharon Ashwood- Scorched

*Lion's Heat- Lora Leigh

*Frost Moon- Anthony Francis

Hopefully I can read a few before I add more. I still have a few May release titles that I want too! It never ends!!

So share with me. What books are you reading? Any good movies? What about your TBR- mountain or molehill?

I hope you don't mind..I snagged the idea and posted my answers on my book blog but I'll share them here too

What I'm reading:

Jen Lancaster's My Fair Lazy is one of my two current reads. Its her memoir on trying to gain some culture in her life, even though she's a reality TV junkie. Its amusing so far, but not as funny as her previous books. If I'm lucky, I'll finish it this weekend.

The second book I'm reading, and lord knows I don't know why I have two books going at the same time is Debra Lee Brown's Gold Rush Bride. Its about an Irish woman who comes to California to claim her inheritance from her father only to learn she needs to be married to run the business. She enters a convenient marriage with trapper Will Crockett. I'm not sure why she's so keen on returning to Ireland, as she's not likely to get more than her passage back for the store, and her family is seeped in debt. Though that has me a bit confused, I'm really enjoying this one.

What I'm Watching:

Doctor Who: Series 5: I'm loving the new doctor and his companion. This has been a wickedly awesome series so far!

Ashes To Ashes: I want to go all leg humpy on Gene Hunt. I love his bad boy image. I would so toss back a couple of pints with him and snog him silly.

My TBR:

Here are some of the reads I hope to get to in the coming weeks...months..uh..

Tanith Lee - Darkness I
Jackie Collins - Hollywood Wives The Next Generation
Michelle Hauf - Her Vampire Husband

My TBR list is too big to really get into but these are some at the top...right now. The new Sookie book is up there too.

What books am I reading?
Bedside book: WHITE CAT: The Curse Workers Book One - Holly Black
BOCD in the car: SIN KILLER - Larry McMurtry
BOCD at work: BLOODROOT - Susan Wittig Albert
Purse book: UNCOMMON GROUNDS - Sandra Balzo

Any good movies? Had hoped to be one of the throng to see IronMan2, but no joy...seem to be watching an awful lot of the History Channel this weekend.

What about your TBR- mountain or molehill? Mt Git'r'Read is hewgah!! This is why I read four at a time...and then I buy more..and get more from RecordedBooks and the stack never seems to decrease..and that's not necessarily a bad thing
Recent additions:
DEAD IN THE FAMILY - Charlaine Harris, BOCD
VERY VALENTINE - Adriana Trigiani, BOCD
BRAVA VALENTINE - Adriana Trigiani, BOCD
Saving the three above for my 12 hour drive to my dad's in Kansas in a couple of weeks.

I haven't read anything by Trigiani. Guess that means I need to google the name:) How sad...another author for me to read:)

I also haven't seen Ashes to Ashes. Another google trip planned for that:)

I hate that I'm always late to this party. Better late than never, right? So here goes:

Currently reading:
Urban Shaman by C.E. Murphy
Fingersmith by Sarah Waters

Recently watched movies:
We went to see Iron Man 2 last weekend which was pretty good. I didn't see part 1 so I don't know if 2 was better or worse but, it was definitely entertaining.

TBR pile:
LOL...um, there's not enough space in this comment section but, here are the ones I'm anxious to crack open:

Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer

Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews (I'm probably the only person on the planet that hasn't read this series yet)

The Dead-Tossed Waves by Carrie Ryan
