Weres on Wednesday: Patricia Briggs The Alpha and Omega series

I've really been slacking with this feature but my intention is to do a bi-weekly feature on paranormal romance or urban fantasy titles that showcase werewolves or other shifters. The Alpha and Omega series by Patricia Briggs is a shining example of compelling paranormal romance set in an urban fantasy world. The overall tone is quite different from the Mercy Thompson series but fans will not be disappointed. Right from the start I thought Charles would be near the top of my favorite wolf list and he has held steady in my top 10. Anna and Charles face plenty of action but their romance is still sweet.

Start with the On The Prowl anthology, then continue with Cry Wolf and Hunting Ground. Patricia's website says the next installment will be out Fall 2011.

Thanks for highlighting this series! These books along with her Mercy Thompson books are on my top 10 favorite Urban Fantasy series.

I loved Anna and Charles right from the start and I am soooo hooked. I actually picked up Prowl because of Karen Chance's contribution, but I am extremely happy I did, because that introduced me to Anna and Charles, who then got me hooked on Mercy Thompson, so I had to run out and buy those as well. I really love anthologies, but sometimes they end up costing me a lot =)

I love Anna and Charles's relationship. I love how much Anna helps those she meets being an omega and how much Charles protects her. I can't wait for the next book its way too far away.
