And now...
What is the Friday 56?
- Grab the book nearest you. Right now
- Turn to page 56.
- Find the fifth sentence.
- Post that sentence (plus one or two others if you like) along with these instructions on your blog or (if you do not have your own blog) in the comments section of this blog.
- Post a link along with your post back to this blog.
- Don’t dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.
So I'm sitting in my new office room and I have all these beautiful books to choose from but I adhered to the rules and blindly grabbed one of the books I could reach without moving from the desk. My selection turned out to be Time Without End by Linda Lael Miller. Oh, this reminded me how much I love this series. I would highly recommend to anybody searching for a lovely vampire romance. These have been on my keeper shelf for ages and I think I might need to read them again soon. The Friday 56 lines for this week are:
Had I possessed the powers that were conferred upon me later, I would have taken Brenna far from this place, be she willing or unwilling, but I could do nothing then.
So what is your Friday 56? What book are you reading right now? Do you love it or hate it?
Enjoy your weekend!

"Time Without End" sounds good. I'll have to see if I can round up a copy. I really adored Keri Arthur's "Deadly Desire" as well, which is my Friday 56 and can be found here: http://zita-is-booked.blogspot.com/
That is not my current read, though. I am right now half-way through Kat Richardson's Labyrinth and am loving it. :-)
I haven't read Kat Richardson so I'm off to find a new author website- Thanks Zita!
Here is mine from Lynsay Sands' Born To Bite, page 56:
"Armand's eyes widened, his eyebrows rose upward on his forehead, and his hand clenched around the cup he held as he watched her drink."
Gotta love those Argeneau men.
Thanks for the True Mud link Anna. It totally made my Friday.
I haven't read anything by Miller, Richardson or Sands. *sigh* I need another book reading vacation.
Born To Bite is on my shopping list. She has a permanent place on my keeper shelves. In fact, my darling Flyboy even recognized the author's name in the store as one that I read, something he doesn't often do:)
You'll have to let me know what you think of it. I heard that she just extended her contract for more books. Yippee!
ok, so it's Saturday but I'm just getting to this -- Ann Rice - Angel Time ...
And suddenly I found myself standing on the veranda, in the sunlight, and the colors around me were wondrously vivid and lulling and I felt no urgency whatsoever, no ticking of any clock.
Ms. Rice is always so enamored with the details - it's what draws you in and wraps around you like a cozy blanket on a cold day and you have to keep reading to keep out the chill - it warms the soul with the details - the color.

Okay. I'll admit it. I'm lazy.
This is from Larrell K. Hamilton;s "Incubus Dreams" merely because it was on my desk doing nothing in particular.
". . .I'm sorry."
Lame. I know.
