An exciting new star in contemporary urban fantasy, Tracey O’Hara returns with Death’s Sweet Embrace, the second book in her Dark Brethren series. In the bestselling vein of J.R. Ward and Patricia Briggs, O’Hara follows up her sensational debut, Night’s Cold Kiss, with a sizzling supernatural take on the Romeo and Juliet story, as two forbidden young lovers from rival shapeshifter tribes must join forces with Aeturnus vampires to thwart a fiendish serial killer. Gripping, dark, and sensual, Death’s Sweet Embrace is an exceptional supernatural adventure that will appeal equally to discriminating fantasy fans and lovers of paranormal romance.
Book Description:
After centuries of secret conflict, humans and parahumans have reached an uneasy truce. But unspeakable evil now threatens the tenuous peace.
Teenaged shapeshifters are being slaughtered by a sadistic serial killer who rips their still-beating hearts from their paralyzed bodies. A task force forms to halt the madness, including the vampiric Aeternus Antoinette Petrescu, as well as Kitt Jordan and Raven Matokwe, members of enemy Animalian tribes . . . and forbidden lovers. A centuries-old blood feud has divided their shapeshifting peoples, and if their passion is discovered it will doom them both. But past hostilities must be put aside, for the killer they seek is but the first sign of the all-consuming nightmare of The Dark Brethren.

We happen to have an extra copy of Death's Sweet Embrace, hence the contest, so leave a meaningful comment and your name will be tossed in the magic hat. It's that easy. We could chat up the cover, talk about the first book minus any spoilers, or give our thoughts on awesome vampire names (Aeternus is pretty wicked sounding to me). And be sure to leave a contact email if one is not included in your profile. This contest is open to US only, and will run until 3/31 and the winner will be announced the following Saturday.

I really do like that cover, I don't like the ones that show just the body of someone and not their face. This book sounds really good, I would like to read it.

I haven't read this series yet, but it looks really good! I love Laurell K. Hamilton, J.R. Ward, and MaryJanice Davidson, so I'm sure I'll love O'Hara, too!

A story with the Romeo/Juliet theme is classic for a reason. Its a good one. I haven't started it yet but this seems like a series right up my alley.

I've been wanting to get started on the Dark Brethren series, but haven't had a chance yet. I like the premise of feuding shapeshifters and forbidden lovers, it all sounds fantastic to me.

Tracey O'Hara's books are on my TBR list for this summer...I work full time and am in college 3/4 time so pleasure reading has eluded me since January 2011. I've taken the summer off and plan to spend most of it (when I'm not working) reading, reading, and reading some more.
I really enjoy exotic names for any characters; vamps, shifters, fae, etc.
